HIV/AIDS Management

The management of HIV/AIDS normally includes the use of multiple antiretroviral drugs as a strategy to control HIV infection. There are several classes of antiretroviral agents that act on different stages of the HIV life-cycle.

What is care and management of HIV AIDS?

HIV treatment (antiretroviral therapy or ART) involves taking medicine as prescribed by a health care provider. HIV treatment reduces the amount of HIV in your body and helps you stay healthy. There is no cure for HIV, but you can control it with HIV treatment.

Symptoms

Those most commonly labeled as side effects of HAART included upset stomach, nausea/vomiting, constipation, and changes in taste. Most commonly cited as symptoms related to HIV disease were tender lymph nodes, night sweats, weight loss, fever, and loss of strength.
